At Blackburn MicroTech Solutions we develop and manufacture cathodes for all types of cathode ray tubes (CRT) including colour picture tubes (CPT), monitors and colour data tubes (CDT), projection TV (PTV) and medical and defence CRTs. There are three basic cathode types:

For standard CPT / CDT applications up to 2.2 A/cm2 |
| Cermet Cathode |
For CPT/CDT applications up to 3.5 A/cm2 (especially for Wide Screen and Real Flat). Cost effective replacement for the Impregnated Cathode (I-Cathode) |
| Impregnated (Dispenser) Cathode |
For high end applications up to 8 A/cm2. For wide screen and real flat CRT and professional CRT applications (medical/defence) and also projection TV's |
These cathodes are available in a standard Philips module construction with an integrated heater and in other constructions with a separate heater suitable for mounting in different types of electron guns.
