The Blackburn site was established in the 1930s by Royal Philips. Its charter was to make a variety of competitive products: including ceramics, radio valves, fluorescent tubes, delay lines, capacitors, cathode-ray tubes, transistors and video discs. Historically, this involved a variety of innovation and leading-edge technology for a wide range of Philips products. In CRT cathode component technology especially, we have acquired over 40 years’ experience.
