At Blackburn MicroTech Solutions we have facilities for the assembly and processing of cathodes in small tubes. We can test cathodes in tubes (without CRT screen & cone) to measure the emission performance of the cathode and the performance of the cathode heater.
All the typical stages of tube processing are carried out including: cathode welding into beaded unit , sealing-in , pumping , activation, aging and getter fire.
We can then automatically test cathode and heater parameters.
